Year Three

Year 3 are taught by Mr Jonathan Wollen with the help of Mrs Mandy Smith and Mrs Tish Alberry. Subjects are taught through a cross-curricular and skills-based approach and where possible we involve the children in choosing their own learning.

Visit our class page to find out about our learning and activities.

Our  cross curricular topic for the Summer Term 2013 is The Jurassic Coast. You can see our topic map for this term here.

We have discussed our class charter for the coming year, and you can see a copy of it here:

Ukulele Club news!

In Year 3 we ask parents to hear their child read as frequently as possible. There are weekly tables and spelling tests, usually on a Thursday morning. We appreciate the support and help you give your child at home. It is a very valuable contribution to their learning and progress.

Please could children have PE kit in school at all times as we like to have a flexible approach to the timetable.

This little booklet is a useful guide to the maths your child will be using in Year 3, and also contains ideas for practising at home.
