Due to the retirement of our current much loved head teacher, St Mary’s would like to recruit an enthusiastic and inspirational leader to be our new head from September 2010.

St Mary’s is an integral part of the lovely seaside town of Swanage and the children make full use of many of its unique facilities. We are proud to have recently been awarded Arts Mark Gold status which was earned in collaboration with local artists.

St Mary’s was judged as Outstanding at its last Ofsted report.

We are looking for a head teacher who

• Is a committed and practicing Catholic and can promote and further develop the Catholic ethos and community of the school
• Has a proven record of excellent classroom practice
• Can show excellent leadership and management ability
• Has high professional standards and a commitment to school improvement
• Has the vision and skills to maintain and build upon our Outstanding status
• Has a passion to ensure that every child succeeds
